But even if you don’t have pirate equipment\, you can help our library pirate Pit in an unusual place on this day.  \nPit has hidden his treasure and is now desperate because he no longer knows where it is. Unfortunately\, there are only a few clues as to where the treasure might be. Do you think we can find it together?   \nThe meeting point for all adventurous treasure hunters is the pirate ship on the LAGA grounds.

SUMMARY:Information event "Rewetting of the Hündfeld moor"
DESCRIPTION:The Hündfelder Moor and the adjacent Dutch Aamsveen are part of a cross-border nature conservation project that aims to permanently rewet the moor landscape. These measures are intended to strengthen biodiversity\, reduce CO₂ emissions and make the landscape more resilient to the consequences of climate change.  \nChristoph Rückriem\, from the Zwillbrock Biological Station\, will present the planned measures\, challenges and progress of the project to date in his lecture on 25.09.2025. He will also explain the importance of this work for Gronau. The event is aimed at all interested parties and offers the opportunity to get to know a special natural area right on your doorstep.   \nParticipation in the event is free of charge. However\, due to the limited number of participants (50)\, please register by the day of the event by emailing Ms. Niehoff at elena.niehoff@gronau.de or by calling 02562 12-356.

DESCRIPTION:Silent Learning in the Gronau public library on 25.09.25 \nThe library as a place of silence. When there is neither space nor peace and quiet elsewhere\, the public library is the ideal place for intensive and effective learning in a quiet environment.  \nAfter all\, where better to learn than between lavishly filled bookshelves? And at a time of day that is dedicated exclusively to learners.  \nThe public library offers pupils from year 10 and students the opportunity to absorb\, deepen or repeat learning material outside of opening hours. Whether in preparation for a class test\, an exam\, a presentation or an examination.  \nWithout any public traffic or lending activities\, those who cannot find peace and quiet elsewhere can work here in a relaxed atmosphere. \nSnacks and drinks are available at small prices for refreshments in between. \nIf required\, the library staff will be happy to give you one or two research tips.
