DESCRIPTION:KuBiG Network Meeting 2025 \nCulture and education in Gronau with Sebastian Kurtenbach on November 19\, 2025\, from 5.30 pm in the Turbine of the rock’n’popmuseum \nSince 2022\, Kulturbetriebe Gronau has been working with many partners to develop an overall municipal concept for cultural education (KuBiG). The aim is to sustainably strengthen cultural participation for children\, young people and adults in Gronau and to establish structures that more closely interlink education and culture. In this process\, network meetings such as the upcoming KuBiG forum are important building blocks for promoting exchange\, cooperation and new impulses in urban society.   \nWe are delighted to have Prof. Dr. Sebastian Kurtenbach as this year’s keynote speaker. The political scientist and social policy expert is co-author of the highly acclaimed book “Kinder – Minderheit ohne Schutz”\, which was nominated for the German Non-Fiction Prize in 2025. His research on migration\, social inequality\, urban development and social participation is highly topical – even for a city like Gronau.   \n“We are delighted to have Sebastian Kurtenbach\, the author of a work nominated for the German Non-Fiction Prize 2025\, make a detour to Gronau. We are convinced that the exchange with local educational and cultural professionals will be sustainable and fruitful.”\n– Britta Drewitz\, Kulturbetriebe Gronau \nAfter his keynote speech\, we will talk to him about the role of cultural education for children and young people – especially in rural areas. SUMMARY:Lecture as part of the Heart Week "Healthy vessels\, healthy heart"
DESCRIPTION:Heart Weeks 2025: St. Antonius Hospital experts provide information about heart disease \nAs part of the nationwide Heart Weeks 2025\, the Cardiology Clinic at St. Antonius Hospital Gronau is hosting a public lecture evening. Under the\nmotto “Healthy vessels\, healthy heart”\, interested parties will learn how coronary heart disease and heart attacks can be detected\, prevented and treated at an early stage on November 19 from 6:30 p.m. in the Gronau nursing school at St. Antonius Hospital.  \n“If you know and pay attention to certain risk factors\, you can significantly reduce your risk of a heart attack or stroke\,” explains Dr. Alexander Samol\, Head Physician at the Cardiology Clinic at St. Antonius-Hospital Gronau. Together with his senior physicians Sherif Omar\, Wael El Eit and Mohamed Elbaroudy\, he provides information on the causes\, diagnosis and treatment options for cardiovascular diseases – still the most common cause of death in Germany.  \nThe lectures will begin by looking at the definition\, causes and diagnosis of coronary heart disease. This will be followed by prevention and drug treatment\, before interventional and surgical treatment options\, particularly for acute coronary syndrome\, are presented.
