SUMMARY:Udo Klopke Band
DESCRIPTION:The Udo Klopke Band is a three-time winner of the German Rock and Pop Prize. \nHe has worked as a backing singer for SEAL\, as a musical guitarist\, studio singer and as a musician on the Dream Ship from India to Singapore. He gave guitar lessons to Henning Baum (“Jim Knopf und Lukas\, der Lokomotivführer”)\, lent his guitar strap to Gunter Gabriel and accompanied numerous other musicians with his voice and guitar (including Marla Glen\, Thomas Anders\, Ingrid Peters\, Andy Borg\, Karel Gott and many more).  \nHe and his band members Markus Bender – bass (e.g. for Marla Glen\, Nils Landgren) and Jan Wienstroer – drums/percussion (e.g. for Harald Schmidt Show\, Wolf Maahn)\, are a particularly cool troupe that we can look forward to!\nIn the early 2000s\, he began recording his own music\, organized his first concerts and started touring. He now travels all over Germany and neighboring countries with his music.\nAfter the first album “The pirate’s son” was runner-up twice (best rock album\, best CD album) at the 2017 German Rock and Pop Awards\, “Make me an offer” (2019) took first place in the “Best Rock Album” category and the current album “The King is dead” took second place again.  \n  \n“A song should always tell its story\, that’s the most important thing.
