DESCRIPTION:Painting meets music: new art exhibition at Georg’s Gallery \nA new art exhibition is on the program at Georg’s Gallery from February: artist Carsten Hölscher from Ahaus is presenting an extensive selection of his pictorial works for the first time under the title “Painting and Drawing”. The Gronau Community Foundation invites you to the vernissage on February 7\, 2026 at 7 pm\, admission is free. Carsten Hölscher is best known to many as a musician. His artistic talent became apparent early on\, initially with a clear focus on music. He studied electric bass and double bass\, built his own recording studio in Ahaus in 2005\, now works as a music producer and music teacher and regularly performs on stage with the Wild Honey Acoustic Trio. It is only in the last few years that he has also devoted himself more intensively to the visual arts.      \nAs an autodidact\, Hölscher developed his own signature style. His motifs are predominantly landscapes from the Münsterland region\, which he captures both in drawings and oil paintings on canvas. More abstract works in which he explores the physicality of color itself are also his specialty. His works are characterized by calm moods\, clear lines and a close connection to his home region. For Hölscher\, art means above all expression\, deceleration and a conscious view of his surroundings.     \nThe works can be viewed from February 7 to March 28\, 2026\, on Fridays during market hours from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and additionally on February 22 and March 15 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. \nWith this exhibition\, Georgs Galerie not only offers insights into the artistic work of a regional artist\, but also a varied cultural event that combines art and music in a special way. The exhibition will conclude with a special highlight: on March 28\, 2026\, the artist’s band will give a concert at Georg’s Galerie. They will present an eclectic mix of styles from pop\, jazz\, soul\, rock’n’roll and country\, bringing the combination of visual art and music to life once again. DESCRIPTION:On February 15\, it’s Helau time again in Gronau!  \n\nThe traditional carnival parade in and through Gronau will once again take place as planned this year.\n\n\nDue to construction work\, however\, there are a few changes to the schedule:\n  Changed relocation route\nThe move no longer leads via Enscheder Straße to the Sparkasse.\nInstead\, it works:\n  from the traffic circle Enscheder-/Pfarrer-Reukes-/Alstätter Straße\n  via Alstätter Straße\n  continue to Konrad-Adenauer-Straße\n  and from Franz-Kerkhoff-Straße return to the usual route in the direction of the town hall\, Eper Straße / Gildehauser Straße.\n\n\n  After-train party on Kurt-Schumacher-Platz (“Kurti”)\n\n\n\n\n\nThe square in front of the Protestant Church is not available this year – but after many years we will be celebrating on the Kurti again!\nDJ Pfanni will be providing music there from 1 p.m. and the parade will be commented on live.\n  After the parade: awards for the best floats & most creative foot groups\n  Performance of the Gronau city triumvirate with\nCity prince Dennis I\, city princess Dagmar I and lady-in-waiting Melanie\n  Musical highlight:\nThe German pop star Tommy Steiner will rock the stage with his hits and party classics from the 80s and 90s!
