DESCRIPTION:Painting meets music: new art exhibition at Georg’s Gallery \nA new art exhibition is on the program at Georg’s Gallery from February: artist Carsten Hölscher from Ahaus is presenting an extensive selection of his pictorial works for the first time under the title “Painting and Drawing”. The Gronau Community Foundation invites you to the vernissage on February 7\, 2026 at 7 pm\, admission is free. Carsten Hölscher is best known to many as a musician. His artistic talent became apparent early on\, initially with a clear focus on music. He studied electric bass and double bass\, built his own recording studio in Ahaus in 2005\, now works as a music producer and music teacher and regularly performs on stage with the Wild Honey Acoustic Trio. It is only in the last few years that he has also devoted himself more intensively to the visual arts.      \nAs an autodidact\, Hölscher developed his own signature style. His motifs are predominantly landscapes from the Münsterland region\, which he captures both in drawings and oil paintings on canvas. More abstract works in which he explores the physicality of color itself are also his specialty. His works are characterized by calm moods\, clear lines and a close connection to his home region. For Hölscher\, art means above all expression\, deceleration and a conscious view of his surroundings.     \nThe works can be viewed from February 7 to March 28\, 2026\, on Fridays during market hours from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and additionally on February 22 and March 15 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. \nWith this exhibition\, Georgs Galerie not only offers insights into the artistic work of a regional artist\, but also a varied cultural event that combines art and music in a special way. The exhibition will conclude with a special highlight: on March 28\, 2026\, the artist’s band will give a concert at Georg’s Galerie. They will present an eclectic mix of styles from pop\, jazz\, soul\, rock’n’roll and country\, bringing the combination of visual art and music to life once again. Nicht immer müssen defekte\nDinge dann direkt auf dem Müll landen – unter Umständen sind sie mit etwas Fachwissen und ein wenig Geschick schnell wieder repariert. \nIm Gronauer ReparaturTreff stehen seit Oktober 2018 an jedem ersten Samstag im Monat ehrenamtliche Helfer bereit\, gegen eine Spende kleinere Reparaturen durchzuführen. Man kann ihnen\nbeim Reparieren direkt über die Schulter schauen und lernen\, wie man den Defekt beim nächsten Mal gleich selber behebt. \nDer ReparaturTreff versteht sein Angebot als Zeichen gegen die „Wegwerfgesellschaft“ und möchte einen sozialen Treffpunkt bieten.

DESCRIPTION:Planning\, building\, renovation\, garden and energy \nIn recent years\, building enthusiasts have been somewhat reluctant to realize their plans\, but now more and more families and investors are looking for opportunities to build. At BAUMESSE GRONAU\, visitors will therefore be shown the current trends in the areas of building\, house\, living and garden and how these can be financed.  \nTo this end\, the event will demonstrate the extensive range of services offered by regional players in the areas of planning\, building\, renovation\, financing\, etc. In addition\, people interested in building and – in particular – regional tradespeople will be able to talk to each other in a relaxed atmosphere.  \nIt is therefore the wish of the cooperation partners that the majority of exhibitors come directly from Gronau or the surrounding area. The aim is also to cover as many different trades as possible.  \nOf course\, there will be children’s entertainment for the youngest visitors and a cozy trade fair café for all visitors\, where they can enjoy refreshments and chat with others. \nCompanies that have not previously exhibited at a trade fair are welcome to seek advice on presentation options and advertising materials.

DESCRIPTION:Night insights 2026 Gronau and Epe shine in a cultural light\n\nCultural events at twelve venues meet impressive light installations and color stagings: these are the cornerstones of “Nachteinblicke”\, which will be held for the sixth time on March 7 by Kulturbüro Gronau GmbH. The event is presented by Stadtwerke Gronau. As in previous editions\, thousands of visitors will once again experience an atmospheric spectacle of color and culture in 2026\, involving a large number of local and regional artists. And the best thing about it: admission is free!   \n\nMany visitors are always impressed by the special atmosphere created by the interplay of light\, space\, music and culture. At twelve different locations in Gronau and Epe\, local artists and choirs in particular present an exciting mix of their work. From male choirs and magicians to improvisational theater – the range of artists involved in the Night Insights is wide\, with a total of 36 artists and artist groups taking part.  \n\nInselpark Seemingly familiar things appear in a completely new light in the dark of night when the spectacular light and color productions create an atmospheric and sometimes even mystical atmosphere. A very special highlight is the Stadtwerke Silent Disco at the Waldbühne\, where visitors can dance to music transmitted via wireless headphones. Instead of loud speakers\, there is a shared but individual listening experience. Headphones can be borrowed for a fee of €2.50\, and for Stadtwerke customers\, borrowing is free as part of the Vorteilswelt (formerly PlusService Card).  \n\nFor the younger visitors\, there will be hands-on activities such as a children’s rally and craft activities\, and the Stadtwerke outdoor area in the Inselpark invites you to linger with chilled DJ music and a range of food and drink.\n\nDiscover “Gronau and Epe” in the light\nDuring the Night Insights\, city guides will also be out and about in both districts\, showing the city in a special light and from a different perspective. In this way\, participants can discover and experience the town with new eyes. The tours start at 20:00 and participation is based on the “pay what you want” principle.\nThe “Kulturhäppchen” are available at these locations:  \n\nGronau: Musikclub Turbine\, Café Backstage\, Evang. SUMMARY:Konzert mit S.A.M. Something About Music
DESCRIPTION:S.A.M. Something About Music spielt am Samstag\, den 07.03.2026\, ab 19.00 Uhr im Cafe Grenzenlos. Ein Mix aus Funk\, Pop und Latinmusik wird von der Band präsentiert. Die junge niederländische Sängerin Sam Polman begeistert mit ihrer frischen Stimme. Samstag mit dabei ist der Nippi Noya der weltbekannte Perkussionist\, er war mit Udo Lindenberg auf Tournee. Komplettiert wird die Band durch Keyboarder Marcel den Riet\, den Gitarristen Edwin Haspehoven\, den Schlagzeuger Wilhelm Lammering und Bassist Henri Huismann. \nMit vielfältigsten Percussionsinstrumenten zieht der legendäre Nippy Noya Zuhörer und Zuschauer in seinen Bann. Der in Sulawesi – Indonesien geborene Musiker zählt zu den bekanntesten Conga Spielern der Welt. Im zarten Alter von 10 Jahren begann er in Indonesien mit dem Schlagzeugspiel. Im Alter von 22 Jahren kam Nippy Noya nach Europa\, wo seine kometenhafte Karriere als professioneller Musiker begann. \nIm Laufe der Jahre begleitete Nippy Noya Künstler wie John McLaughlin\, Jan Akkerman\, Chaka Khan\, Billy Cobham\, Herbert Grönemeyer\, Stan Getz\, Eric Burdon und viele andere. Neben seiner Mitwirkung an über 200 CD- und Plattenproduktionen stand Noya auch häufig für verschiedene Fernsehproduktionen zur Verfügung. Seit 1992 leitet Noya einen Lehrstuhl für Percussion am Konservatorium für Musik in Enschede. Darüber hinaus ist er gern gesehener Gastmusiker bei der Band farfarello.
