DESCRIPTION:METAL OVER EPE \nIt’s time for some real METAL in Gronau/Epe again! It’s happening on July 3\, 2026\, at the Latüchte in Epe.  \nThe Gronau Musicians’ Initiative MIG’90 eV presents: \nSACROSANCT\, from the Netherlands\, formed in 1988 and released three classic albums in the early 1990s: “Truth is – what is\,” “Recesses for the Depraved\,” and “Tragic Intense.” After their first album\, they moved away somewhat from thrash metal and ventured into more “prog-influenced” power metal territory. After that\, things went quiet around the band. Randy Meinhard (formerly of Pextilence and SubMission)\, a native of Gronau\, wrote “Necropolis” 25 years later\, and six years after that\, the current album “Kidron” followed\, which was released worldwide in March 2025 on ROAR/Reigning Phoenix.    \nKNIFE\, hailing from beautiful Marburg\, play black speed metal punk and are going to reduce Latüchte to rubble and ashes! Not a hair will be left standing. Vince Nihil and his bandmates formed in 2020 and immediately landed a record deal with Dying Victims. Their debut album\, *Knife*\, was released in 2021. In 2023\, they made the inevitable move to Napalm Records\, where they released an album and an EP. The band has played live shows worldwide\, toured with Sodom\, among others\, and lived up to its reputation as a top-notch live band at numerous festival shows both at home and abroad. “Stainless steel forged in the hot winds of Hades.”        \nESTOPLYN – Metal from Rheine. Active in the regional and national metal scene since 2011\, their sound falls somewhere between groove metal\, metalcore\, and folk metal with a good dash of heavy metal\, complemented live by bagpipes. Their debut album\, “Stroke of Fate\,” was released in 2016\, followed by “Cirquit Maximus” in 2025. Contemporary metal is the name of the game here!    \nDISTANT THUNDER from Epe/Darmstadt. Founded by Stefan “Husky” Hüskens (Asphyx\, RottenCasket\, ex-Sodom\, and many more)\, a resident of Epe\, to indulge his love of (Canadian) thrash metal. They quickly found bandmates in Patrick (ex-Crematory)\, Holger (Abandoned\, among others)\, Rafael (Bolverk)\, and Benni (Knife\, among others) and recorded their debut “Demo1\,” which was enthusiastically acclaimed by the metal press. This was followed by a record deal with High Roller Records.
