The game is played in teams of two to six players. The team with the most points wins. The focus here is on fun and a sociable evening. SUMMARY:Children's theater "Schneewitte and the last fruit dwarf"
DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, 18.01.2026\, the beginning of the year will be celebrated with the Kreuz&Quer Theater from Duisburg. The play “Schneewitte und der letzte Fruchtzwerg” will turn the public library upside down.  \nThis play will be performed at 4 pm and is for children aged 4 and over. Admission costs 3 euros per person.  \n  \nA play about having to go to bed and not wanting to. Grimm prefers to go to bed early\, read a bit more in his fairy tale book and then go to sleep\, because sleep before midnight is the healthiest!  \nBut he can’t\, because there’s Gebrr – and Gebrr once again doesn’t want to go to bed\, isn’t tired\, is hungry\, is afraid to be alone in bed and finds one excuse after another to avoid having to sleep. \nAlthough Grimm is sooo tired\, he has to read Gebrr a fairy tale again\, the fairy tale of Snow White. \nAnd as it happens with these two\, they are soon in the middle of the story. Snow White\, the wicked stepmother\, the huntsman\, the seven dwarfs and the prince are romping around in their beds – and sleep is out of the question.  \nAt the end there is the obligatory kiss and Gebrr finally falls asleep\, only Grimm lies wide awake in bed.

DESCRIPTION:Young musical talents from the Gronau Music School\nwith Marleen Martin-Andrade\, Charlotte Kasprowiak and Louisa Kasprowiak\nAn excerpt from the competition program of “Jugend musiziert”\nPiano solo\, violin duo and violin/viola – with music by Chopin (Ballade No. 2)\, Brahms (Hungarian Dance No. 5)\, Bach\, Beethoven and Prokofiev\, among others. \nAs the “Jugend musiziert” competition draws closer\, for many young musicians it is no longer just a question of putting the finishing touches to their instrument. It also becomes crucial whether the program “stands up” under concert conditions\, with an audience and with the excitement of a real performance. This is exactly why the Gronau Music School invites you to a public preparatory concert on Sunday\, January 25\, 2026\, at 3 p.m. in the Georgs Galerie (Merschstraße 21\, 48599 Gronau-Epe). The concert will last around 60 minutes.    \nScarlet Marleen Martin-Andrade (8)\, Charlotte Kasprowiak (10) and Louisa Kasprowiak (15) are on stage. Despite their young age\, they have been among the most successful participants at the music school for years. They have repeatedly won first prizes in the “Jugend musiziert” competition\, scoring top marks in several categories. Over several years\, they have also been regularly invited to award ceremonies and prizewinners’ concerts.    \nThe concert in the Georgs Galerie is therefore not a review in the sense of a “best-of”\, but a concentrated insight into the current competition program. The program includes works that are both technically and musically demanding. Louisa Kasprowiak sets a romantic focus with Chopin’s “Ballade No. 2” (op. 38)\, among others. She will also perform selected pieces from Prokofiev’s “Visions fugitives”. Charlotte Kasprowiak combines Bach (Gavotte and Sarabande\, BWV 816) with Chopin’s Waltz in E minor and the Scherzo from Prokofiev’s Second Piano Sonata. Scarlet Marleen Martin-Andrade spans the spectrum from Beethoven (“Sonatine in F major”) to the present day\, including Sonny Chua’s “T-Rex Hungry”.      \nThe competition also features chamber music. Scarlet Marleen Martin-Andrade and Charlotte Kasprowiak will perform Brahms’ “Hungarian Dance No. 5” as a violin duo. Movements from Pleyel’s “Grande Duo” and Ricardo Joshua Moretti’s “12 Jewish Songs” are also on the program in a mixed line-up (violin/viola).   \n  \nThe public is very welcome. Admission is free\, donations are welcome.

DESCRIPTION:On Auschwitz Memorial Day: “La Vita è Bella – Life is beautiful” at Cinetech Gronau \nGronau\, January 2026 – Once again this year\, Haus Lebenstein invites you to a special moment of remembrance to mark the day of the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp. On Tuesday\, January 27\, 2026\, at 7.30 pm\, the award-winning film “La Vita è Bella – Life is Beautiful” will be shown at Cinetech Gronau.  \nThe screening takes place in cooperation with Cinetech Gronau and with the support of the Förderkreis Alte Synagoge Epe e.V. \nThe 1997 film by and starring Roberto Benigni tells the story of a Jewish father who tries to protect his young son from the atrocities of the concentration camp by transforming the inhuman reality into an apparent game.
