DESCRIPTION:Family education center and St. Antonius-Hospital Gronau invite you to the “Day around the birth” \nAnyone looking for information about childbirth today can find everything they need online. That was different 25 years ago. Back then\, the “Birth Day” was created by midwives from Gronau who wanted to provide expectant mothers with personal information and support. But especially today\, when all information is just a click away\, personal encounters are more valuable than ever – especially during such a drastic experience as childbirth.    \nOn Sunday\, March 1\, 2026\, the Gronau Family Education Center\, in cooperation with St. Antonius Hospital Gronau\, the Social Service of Catholic Women Ahaus-Vreden and Diakonie West\, invites you to the 25th Birth Information Day. Expectant parents can get to know the people they will come into contact with in connection with the birth: Midwives\, doctors\, but also advisors from social institutions where benefits such as parental allowance or child benefit can be applied for after the birth. The event lasts from 14:30 to 17:30. Admission is free\, registration is not required.    \n“It is important to us that expectant parents not only take away knowledge\, but also the feeling that they are not alone here\,” emphasizes Diana Ricker\, Head of Department at the Family Education Centre. “The information day thrives on encounters\, openness and trust – no website can replace that.”  \nWiebke Zimmermann\, head midwife at the Clinic for Gynecology and Obstetrics at St. Antonius-Hospital Gronau\, adds: “In the past\, the focus was on topics such as breastfeeding or birth preparation for women only – today\, most couples come together to prepare for the birth as a shared experience and make initial contacts.” \nThis year\, St. Antonius Hospital is an official cooperation partner for the first time. In addition to general lectures on childbirth\, visitors can expect a varied program with four workshops: Topics include “Baby care”\, “Natural birth and alternative pain relief”\, “Becoming parents and staying a couple” and “Parental allowance\, child benefit and co – An overview”.  \nIn her presentation\, senior physician Senait Berhane from the Clinic for Gynecology and Obstetrics will provide information about the birth process and answer questions about birth planning\, the delivery room and medical care. \nPractical tips for everyday life in the clinic – from the packed clinic bag and registration formalities to the first nappy change and bathing – complete the program. Melanie Epping and Kirsten Radau from the Diakonie pregnancy advice center will also provide an overview of financial support services for young families.  \nAll rooms of the family education center are open during the information day. DESCRIPTION:Night insights 2026 Gronau and Epe shine in a cultural light\n\nCultural events at twelve venues meet impressive light installations and color stagings: these are the cornerstones of “Nachteinblicke”\, which will be held for the sixth time on March 7 by Kulturbüro Gronau GmbH. The event is presented by Stadtwerke Gronau. As in previous editions\, thousands of visitors will once again experience an atmospheric spectacle of color and culture in 2026\, involving a large number of local and regional artists. And the best thing about it: admission is free!   \n\nMany visitors are always impressed by the special atmosphere created by the interplay of light\, space\, music and culture. At twelve different locations in Gronau and Epe\, local artists and choirs in particular present an exciting mix of their work. From male choirs and magicians to improvisational theater – the range of artists involved in the Night Insights is wide\, with a total of 36 artists and artist groups taking part.  \n\nInselpark Seemingly familiar things appear in a completely new light in the dark of night when the spectacular light and color productions create an atmospheric and sometimes even mystical atmosphere. A very special highlight is the Stadtwerke Silent Disco at the Waldbühne\, where visitors can dance to music transmitted via wireless headphones. Instead of loud speakers\, there is a shared but individual listening experience. Headphones can be borrowed for a fee of €2.50\, and for Stadtwerke customers\, borrowing is free as part of the Vorteilswelt (formerly PlusService Card).  \n\nFor the younger visitors\, there will be hands-on activities such as a children’s rally and craft activities\, and the Stadtwerke outdoor area in the Inselpark invites you to linger with chilled DJ music and a range of food and drink.\n\nDiscover “Gronau and Epe” in the light\nDuring the Night Insights\, city guides will also be out and about in both districts\, showing the city in a special light and from a different perspective. In this way\, participants can discover and experience the town with new eyes. The tours start at 20:00 and participation is based on the “pay what you want” principle.\nThe “Kulturhäppchen” are available at these locations:  \n\nGronau: Musikclub Turbine\, Café Backstage\, Evang. DESCRIPTION:Das Projekt Haus Lebenstein lädt wieder zur Plauderstunde ein. Die Veranstaltung findet von 15 bis 17 Uhr in Georgs Galerie (Merschstraße 21) statt. \nDie Plauderstunden haben sich als offenes Begegnungsformat etabliert\, bei dem Interessierte in lockerer Atmosphäre zusammenkommen\, um sich über das entstehende Haus Lebenstein auszutauschen. Das Projekt entwickelt sich in der ehemaligen Synagoge in Epe zu einem „Dritten Ort“ – einem lebendigen Zentrum für Kultur\, Erinnerung und gesellschaftlichen Austausch. \nIm Mittelpunkt steht auch diesmal der aktuelle Baufortschritt: Welche Arbeiten sind bereits abgeschlossen\, welche nächsten Schritte stehen an und wie nimmt das Haus Lebenstein zunehmend Gestalt an? Die Organisatoren geben Einblicke in den aktuellen Stand und beantworten Fragen rund um die Entwicklung des Projekts. Darüber hinaus möchten sie mit den Gästen über neue Ideen für zukünftige Begegnungsformate ins Gespräch kommen – von kulturellen Angeboten bis hin zu offenen Mitmachformaten. \nEin besonderer Akzent wird durch die musikalische Begleitung gesetzt:\nAls Gastmusiker wird Friso Wyckelsma erwartet. Der Gronauer Student\, der auch als Organist in der ev. Stadtkirche aktiv ist\, widmet sich mit großer Leidenschaft Film- und Musicalmelodien\, die er am Sonntag auf dem Flügel präsentieren wird. \nDie Plauderstunde ist offen für alle Interessierten. Viele betroffene Frauen leiden über Jahre unter starken Schmerzen und unspezifischen Beschwerden\, bevor eine Diagnose gestellt wird. Umso wichtiger ist eine fundierte Aufklärung: Die Klinik für Gynäkologie und Geburtshilfe des St. Antonius-Hospitals Gronau lädt daher am Mittwoch\, 25. März 2026\, zu einem umfassenden Informationsabend ein. \nDie Veranstaltung findet im European Robotic Institute\, Möllenweg 14\, gegenüber vom St. Antonius-Hospital Gronau statt. Sie dauert von 18 bis 20 Uhr. \n„Wir möchten Betroffenen\, Angehörigen und Interessieren einen gut verständlichen Überblick über das Krankheitsbild Endometriose sowie moderne Diagnose- und Behandlungsmöglichkeiten geben“\, sagt Frauke Sonntag\, Chefärztin der Klinik für Gynäkologie und Geburtshilfe am St. Antonius-Hospital Gronau. Neben medizinischen Fachvorträgen werden auch Ernährung\, Bewegung und Selbsthilfeangebote thematisiert. Im Anschluss besteht die Möglichkeit zum persönlichen Austausch sowie zur Diskussion mit den Expertinnen und Experten. \nDer Informationsabend beginnt mit einem Fachvortrag der Oberärztin Geertruida van Wonderen zum Thema „Regelschmerzen hat doch jeder! – oder nicht?!“. Anschließend spricht die niedergelassene Gronauer Frauenärztin Simone Husmann über die hormonelle Therapie der Endometriose. Ihr Aufruf: „Die Pille ist nicht dein Feind!“ \nWeiter geht es mit Heilpraktikerin und Psychoonkologin Ulrike Finken und ihrem Vortrag zur Ernährung. Ulrike Finken leitet auch die Selbsthilfegruppe Gronau\, die sie ebenfalls vorstellen wird. Wie man sich mit Yoga bei Endometriose helfen kann\, zeigt Regina Nikitin auf\, während Oberärztin Dr. Verena Schotters über die operative Therapie der Endometriose spricht. Der Abend endet mit der Möglichkeit Fragen zu stellen und sich untereinander auszutauschen. \nDer Informationsabend ist Teil des Aufbaus einer spezialisierten Endometriose-Klinik am St. Antonius-Hospital Gronau.
