SUMMARY:Mystery Book Reading from "Winzergrab" with Wine Tasting
DESCRIPTION:Winemaker and mystery novelist Andreas Wagner is once again a guest at Gartenland Schmitz this year. He will read from his mystery novel “Winzergrab”—followed by a wine tasting featuring wines from the Wagner Winery. \nDuring a drive through the vineyards in the Selz Valley at night\, the daughter of the village’s most famous winemaker is found dead. And to make matters worse\, his dear wife Renate has even signed him up for the annual fun run… \nAndreas Wagner is a winemaker\, historian\, and author. After studying history\, political science\, and Czech studies in Leipzig and at Charles University in Prague\, he took over his ancestors’ family winery near Mainz in 2003\, together with his two brothers. He is married and has four children. \n  \nDate/Time: Thursday\, November 12\, 2026\, 7:00 p.m. \nSpeaker: Andreas Wagner \nLocation: Gartenland Schmitz\, Schelverweg 51\, 48599 Gronau-Epe \nFee: €29.50 per ticket \nTickets are available for cash at Gartenland Schmitz and the Family Education Center \nSeating is unassigned. \nPress Photo: Andreas Wagner’s Winemaker’s Grave \nMore information: Mystery reading from “Winzergrab” with wine tasting – FBS Gronau

SUMMARY:Whispers from Südstadt – The “Village Podcast” with Otto Lohle – Part 1
DESCRIPTION:Whispers from Südstadt – the “Village Podcast” with Otto Lohle – Part 1 \nExperiences and Confessions of an Agatha Aboriginal: With references to world politics\, German federal politics\, but above all to local events\, as well as brief glimpses into the music scene of the time\, “Dorfgeflüster” takes visitors on a wild roller-coaster ride through the almost forgotten days of the 1950s and 1960s in Epe. Let’s be honest: Who didn’t know them—the central figures of village life\, such as “Aunt Käthe” from the kindergarten at Josefshaus\, the fearsome Principal Aschenbach\, the raspy voice of “Grandma Nacke\,” Alwine\, the manager of the Grand Hotel Richters\, the legendary Peter Hamm\, and the fruit and vegetable barons Katzwinkel and “Löna.” Does that ring a bell? \nIn “Dorfgeflüster\,” Otto Lohle deliberately focuses on direct interaction with the audience in a humorous way and a relaxed atmosphere\, allowing guests to share their childhood and teenage experiences in an entertaining way. \nPart 2 of the village podcast will take place on February 16\, 2027. \nAdvance tickets: 15 euros
