Man kann ihnen\nbeim Reparieren direkt über die Schulter schauen und lernen\, wie man den Defekt beim nächsten Mal gleich selber behebt. \nDer ReparaturTreff versteht sein Angebot als Zeichen gegen die „Wegwerfgesellschaft“ und möchte einen sozialen Treffpunkt bieten.

On Tuesday\, January 27\, 2026\, at 7.30 pm\, the award-winning film “La Vita è Bella – Life is Beautiful” will be shown at Cinetech Gronau.  \nThe screening takes place in cooperation with Cinetech Gronau and with the support of the Förderkreis Alte Synagoge Epe e.V. \nThe 1997 film by and starring Roberto Benigni tells the story of a Jewish father who tries to protect his young son from the atrocities of the concentration camp by transforming the inhuman reality into an apparent game. From 9 am to 12 noon\, visitors and employees can have their blood glucose levels determined and professionally assessed without any complications.  \n“A small prick can provide a lot of important information\,” emphasize the two diabetes consultants. The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness of diabetes as a widespread disease. Over eleven million people in Germany currently live with the disease.   \nEspecially in hospital\, close-knit care plays a decisive role in ensuring the best possible care outside of the home environment. The certified Diabetes Center (DDG) at St. Antonius Hospital\, which is part of the Department of Internal Medicine II\, provides individual support for patients.  \nEnclosure: Photo Andrea Klesse offers blood glucose measurements on World Diabetes Day.

DESCRIPTION:As part of the events for the Week of Remembrance\, the Euregio Adult Education Center invites you to the German-Dutch Encounter Café on Tuesday\, 11.11.2025\, at 18:30 in the Gronau City Library\, Parkstraße 1. \nOur guest is Bert Woudstra\, Holocaust survivor and one of the last living witnesses. The 93-year-old only survived the war because more than a dozen families took him and his mother in and hid them. His brother and nephew fled the Netherlands as young Jewish men during the occupation and went to Great Britain via France to join the Allies.   \nOn this evening\, Bert Woudstra tells part of his family history. He reads from  \nthe book \,\,Een familiekroniek over verzet tegen het fascisme 1942 – 1945″ (“A family chronicle about the resistance against fascism”)\, to which he contributed as a \ncontributed as co-author. \nBert Woudstra\, born in Enschede in 1932 to Jewish parents\, is a contemporary witness to the \nGerman occupation in the Netherlands during the Nazi era. He saw his father in 1941 for the  \nfor the last time. He was deported and murdered.  \nThere will be an opportunity to ask questions after the presentation. There will be ample opportunity for an exchange of ideas and discussion.  \nDipl.-Ing. Secil Arda-Schiffel will be the moderator. \nAdmission at the box office is 5.00 euros\, drinks included. DESCRIPTION:Today (28.10.25) the movie Human Flow will be shown in the evangelic church in Gronau\, 7 pm! \nHuman Flow is a 2017 documentary film by the Chinese artist Ai Weiwei. The German version of the film was released in[1] production looks at the global refugee crisis with the help of film footage and interviews in 23 countries.  \nThe film premiered in competition at the 74th Venice International Film Festival on September 1\, 2017.[1] A limited theatrical release took place in the USA on October 13\, 2017. In Germany\, Human Flow was released in cinemas on November 16\, 2017.[3]

DESCRIPTION:The Hündfelder Moor and the adjacent Dutch Aamsveen are part of a cross-border nature conservation project that aims to permanently rewet the moor landscape. These measures are intended to strengthen biodiversity\, reduce CO₂ emissions and make the landscape more resilient to the consequences of climate change.  \nChristoph Rückriem\, from the Zwillbrock Biological Station\, will present the planned measures\, challenges and progress of the project to date in his lecture on 25.09.2025. He will also explain the importance of this work for Gronau. The event is aimed at all interested parties and offers the opportunity to get to know a special natural area right on your doorstep.   \nParticipation in the event is free of charge. Nicht immer müssen defekte\nDinge dann direkt auf dem Müll landen – unter Umständen sind sie mit etwas Fachwissen und ein wenig Geschick schnell wieder repariert. \nIm Gronauer ReparaturTreff stehen seit Oktober 2018 an jedem ersten Samstag im Monat ehrenamtliche Helfer bereit\, gegen eine Spende kleinere Reparaturen durchzuführen. Man kann ihnen\nbeim Reparieren direkt über die Schulter schauen und lernen\, wie man den Defekt beim nächsten Mal gleich selber behebt. \nDer ReparaturTreff versteht sein Angebot als Zeichen gegen die „Wegwerfgesellschaft“ und möchte einen sozialen Treffpunkt bieten.
