DESCRIPTION:Family education center and St. Antonius-Hospital Gronau invite you to the “Day around the birth” \nAnyone looking for information about childbirth today can find everything they need online. That was different 25 years ago. Back then\, the “Birth Day” was created by midwives from Gronau who wanted to provide expectant mothers with personal information and support. But especially today\, when all information is just a click away\, personal encounters are more valuable than ever – especially during such a drastic experience as childbirth.    \nOn Sunday\, March 1\, 2026\, the Gronau Family Education Center\, in cooperation with St. Antonius Hospital Gronau\, the Social Service of Catholic Women Ahaus-Vreden and Diakonie West\, invites you to the 25th Birth Information Day. Expectant parents can get to know the people they will come into contact with in connection with the birth: Midwives\, doctors\, but also advisors from social institutions where benefits such as parental allowance or child benefit can be applied for after the birth. The event lasts from 14:30 to 17:30. Admission is free\, registration is not required.    \n“It is important to us that expectant parents not only take away knowledge\, but also the feeling that they are not alone here\,” emphasizes Diana Ricker\, Head of Department at the Family Education Centre. “The information day thrives on encounters\, openness and trust – no website can replace that.”  \nWiebke Zimmermann\, head midwife at the Clinic for Gynecology and Obstetrics at St. Antonius-Hospital Gronau\, adds: “In the past\, the focus was on topics such as breastfeeding or birth preparation for women only – today\, most couples come together to prepare for the birth as a shared experience and make initial contacts.” \nThis year\, St. Antonius Hospital is an official cooperation partner for the first time. In addition to general lectures on childbirth\, visitors can expect a varied program with four workshops: Topics include “Baby care”\, “Natural birth and alternative pain relief”\, “Becoming parents and staying a couple” and “Parental allowance\, child benefit and co – An overview”.  \nIn her presentation\, senior physician Senait Berhane from the Clinic for Gynecology and Obstetrics will provide information about the birth process and answer questions about birth planning\, the delivery room and medical care. \nPractical tips for everyday life in the clinic – from the packed clinic bag and registration formalities to the first nappy change and bathing – complete the program. Melanie Epping and Kirsten Radau from the Diakonie pregnancy advice center will also provide an overview of financial support services for young families.  \nAll rooms of the family education center are open during the information day. DESCRIPTION:Night insights 2026 Gronau and Epe shine in a cultural light\n\nCultural events at twelve venues meet impressive light installations and color stagings: these are the cornerstones of “Nachteinblicke”\, which will be held for the sixth time on March 7 by Kulturbüro Gronau GmbH. The event is presented by Stadtwerke Gronau. As in previous editions\, thousands of visitors will once again experience an atmospheric spectacle of color and culture in 2026\, involving a large number of local and regional artists. And the best thing about it: admission is free!   \n\nMany visitors are always impressed by the special atmosphere created by the interplay of light\, space\, music and culture. At twelve different locations in Gronau and Epe\, local artists and choirs in particular present an exciting mix of their work. From male choirs and magicians to improvisational theater – the range of artists involved in the Night Insights is wide\, with a total of 36 artists and artist groups taking part.  \n\nInselpark Seemingly familiar things appear in a completely new light in the dark of night when the spectacular light and color productions create an atmospheric and sometimes even mystical atmosphere. A very special highlight is the Stadtwerke Silent Disco at the Waldbühne\, where visitors can dance to music transmitted via wireless headphones. Instead of loud speakers\, there is a shared but individual listening experience. Headphones can be borrowed for a fee of €2.50\, and for Stadtwerke customers\, borrowing is free as part of the Vorteilswelt (formerly PlusService Card).  \n\nFor the younger visitors\, there will be hands-on activities such as a children’s rally and craft activities\, and the Stadtwerke outdoor area in the Inselpark invites you to linger with chilled DJ music and a range of food and drink.\n\nDiscover “Gronau and Epe” in the light\nDuring the Night Insights\, city guides will also be out and about in both districts\, showing the city in a special light and from a different perspective. In this way\, participants can discover and experience the town with new eyes. The tours start at 20:00 and participation is based on the “pay what you want” principle.\nThe “Kulturhäppchen” are available at these locations:  \n\nGronau: Musikclub Turbine\, Café Backstage\, Evang. Stadtkirche\, Theo Dreier Moden\, St. Antoniuskirche\, Löwenherz by Boun\, STEPS\nEpe: Jansen for Hair\, Pfarrkirche St. Agatha\, Heimathaus Epe\, Georgs Galerie\, Hörleben Akustik Litmeier \n\nThe audience is invited to simply pause for a moment in the magical world of light art or to move between the individual venues as the mood takes them – on foot or with a free shuttle bus between Gronau and Epe.\n\nNight Insights 2026 is presented by Stadtwerke Gronau\, starting at 7 p.m.\, admission is free.\n\nSpecial note:\nThe Inselpark will be closed during the day on Saturday\, 07.03.26 due to construction work. DESCRIPTION:Gronau Ochtrup Ootmarsum Lage Hoogstede Neuenhaus\nEibergen Haaksbergen Ahaus \nDer Kantor der Dresdner Frauenkirche\, Matthias Grünert\, kommt erneut ins Euregio-Gebiet. Vom 20. bis 22. März (Freitag bis Sonntag) wird er an zehn Orgeln in neun Städten und Gemeinden beiderseits der Grenze spielen. Die jeweils etwa einstündigen Konzerte können individuell auf eigene Faust besucht werden – oder aber im Rahmen von begleiteten Radtouren\, die an den drei Tagen von Ort zu Ort (bis auf eine Ausnahme) führen. \nIn Kirchen im westlichen Münsterland\, in der Grafschaft Bentheim und den benachbarten niederländischen Gemeinden existieren Orgeln\, die teils von renommierten Orgelbauern gefertigt worden sind. Zehn dieser Instrumente wird Matthias Grünert auf Einladung der grenzüberschreitend tätigen Kirchenmusikerin und Chorleiterin Marion Röber bespielen. Die Programme sind auf die Orgeln und ihre klanglichen Charakteristika abgestimmt. \nMatthias Grünert wurde im Jahre 2004 zum ersten Kantor der wiederaufgebauten Dresdner Frauenkirche berufen. Im Januar 2005 trat er das Amt an. Seitdem ist er künstlerisch verantwortlich für die gesamte Kirchenmusik in dem wiedererbauten Barockbau. Er gründete den Chor der Frauenkirche und den Kammerchor der Frauenkirche\, die er beide zu einer festen Größe in der Kulturlandschaft Mitteldeutschlands etablierte. Als Organist ist er darüber hinaus regelmäßig in ganz Deutschland mit mehrtägigen Konzerttouren unterwegs. \nDie Orgeltour in der Euregio beginnt am 20. März (Freitag). Start der Radtour ist um 15.45 Uhr in Gronau an der St.-Antonius-Kirche. Von dort geht es nach Ochtrup\, wo das erste Konzert um 17 Uhr in der Evangelischen Kirche beginnt. Die Radfahrer fahren danach über eine andere Route zurück nach Gronau\, wo ab 19 Uhr das Konzert in der St.-Antonius-Kirche stattfindet.  \nAm 21. März starten die Fietser um 10.30 Uhr in Neuenhaus in der Grafschaft Bentheim. Zunächst geht es über die Grenze nach Ootmarsum. Dort spielt Grünert ab 12 Uhr in der Simon en Judaskerk. Nächste Station ist Lage\, wo um 14 Uhr die Orgel in der Reformierten Kirche erklingen wird. Die Radler machen sich anschließend auf nach Hoogstede\, wo Matthias Grünert um 16 Uhr in der Altreformierten Kirche spielen wird. Danach geht es nach Neuenhaus. Dort beginnt um 18 Uhr in der Reformierten Kirche das Abschlusskonzert des Tages. \nAm 22. März treffen sich die Radfahrer um 9.45 Uhr in Haaksbergen. Von dort aus geht es nach Eibergen. Dort wird Matthias Grünert ab 11 Uhr in der Oude Matthäuskerk die Orgel ertönen lassen. Anschließend kehren die Radler zurück nach Haaksbergen. Dort steht ab 14.30 Uhr ein Wandelkonzert an\, das in der Pancratiuskerk beginnt und fortgesetzt wird in der Protestantse Kerk. Das letzte Konzert der Orgelreihe wird aus Zeitgründen nicht mit dem Fahrrad angefahren. Es beginnt nämlich schon um 17.30 Uhr in der Ev. Christuskirche Ahaus. \nDie  letzten Konzerte am Freitag und Sonnabend finden an den Ausgangspunkten der Radtouren statt\, so dass von dort die individuelle Heimreise angetreten werden kann. Am Sonntag endet die Radtour am Startpunkt Haaksbergen. Von dort können die Interessierten per Auto nach Ahaus fahren. \n  \nDie Teilnahme an den Konzerten sowie an den Radtouren unter Leitung von Martin Borck ist kostenlos. Es wird allerdings um Spenden gebeten. Die Plätze für die Radtouren sind begrenzt. Anmeldungen hierfür werden unter orgel-radtour@gmx.de entgegengenommen. DESCRIPTION:Im Rahmen der Internationalen Wochen gegen Rassismus laden wir Sie herzlich ein\, am 24. März 2026 um 12 Uhr gemeinsam mit uns den jüdischen Friedhof an der Vereinsstraße in Gronau zu\nbesuchen. Die Führung übernimmt Herr Nacke\, zweiter Vorsitzender des Förderkreises Alte Synagoge. Er wird vor Ort über die Geschichte des jüdischen Lebens in Gronau und Epe berichten und Einblicke in Traditionen\, Schicksale und historische Zusammenhänge geben. So wird Geschichte anschaulich vermittelt und mit aktuellen gesellschaftlichen Fragen verknüpft. \nHeute leben unseres Wissens keine Jüdinnen und Juden mehr in Gronau. Diese Tatsache macht deutlich\, welche Folgen Ausgrenzung\, Antisemitismus und Rassismus haben können. Der Besuch soll\ndazu anregen\, aus der Geschichte zu lernen und Verantwortung zu übernehmen – für ein Zusammenleben\, in dem alle Menschen unabhängig von Religion oder Weltanschauung sicher und\ngleichberechtigt leben können. Die Veranstaltung ist keine religiöse Handlung\, sondern eine Bildungs- und Gedenkveranstaltung\, die demokratische Werte\, Empathie und interreligiösen Respekt stärkt. \nWir würden uns freuen\, wenn Sie die Einladung annehmen und gemeinsam mit uns ein deutliches Zeichen gegen Rassismus und Antisemitismus setzen.
