DESCRIPTION:SHOP FAIRLY\, Experience Diversity!  \n\n\nFrom September 11 to 25\, 2026\, the Fair Trade Weeks will once again take center stage in Gronau. As a Fair Trade Town\, Gronau has been championing fair trade\, better working conditions\, and greater sustainability since 2014. \n\n\nAnd this year\, there are two reasons to celebrate: The Wittekindshof Family Center on Volker-Grabkowsky-Straße will become the 16th Fair Trade Daycare Center in Gronau. In addition\, Grüne Aue Elementary School is on its way to becoming the city’s fourth Fair Trade School.   \n\n\nThe Fair Weeks program is also quite impressive:\n\n\n  Fair Arts and Crafts and Drawing Contest for Children\, Teens\, Daycare Centers\, and Schools\n  Information booth by the NRW Consumer Advice Center on the topic of Fair Trade\n  Fair Storefront Campaign by Fair Daycare Centers\n  Contest on our account featuring two Fairtrade picnic baskets\n  Fair Trade Breakfast on September 16 at Café Grenzenlos\n  Fair World Children’s Day on September 18 at Kurt-Schumacher-Platz\, featuring many hands-on activities\, children’s musician Christian Hüser\, and the electric children’s train\n  Fair Trade Breakfast on September 23 at the Gronau Public Library\n  The film “EXTRAwurst” on September 30 at Cinetech Gronau\n\n\nYou can find all the information at https://www.gronau.de/…/ueber…/fairtradestadt-gronau/\n\n\nTogether with many dedicated individuals\, Gronau is committed to a more just world—a future in which fairness and sustainability are the norm.

This joint project by the integration agencies of the German Red Cross (DRK) and Caritas in the Borken district offers insights into the stories of people with migration backgrounds in the district—brought to life through digital “scrollytelling” and the “\n” podcast. \nSeptember 19: Game Afternoon at the Gronau City Library\, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.\nPlaying Together Without Words: Intercultural Game Morning at the Gronau Public Library The Gronau Public Library cordially invites you to a colorful\, intercultural game morning\n. The focus will be on lots of great\, language-independent games that bring people of all cultures and generations together without any language barriers.  \nSeptember 28\, 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.\n“Here’s to that! Who I am\, who you are\, and what connects us!” At the Luise Youth Center for children and teens ages 10–14 “Who am I\, and what actually shapes me? What images come to mind when I see other people? And where do these ideas come from? This workshop invites you to reflect\, talk\, and be creative: about identity\, prejudice\, and\nliving together in a diverse society.      \nSeptember 29\, 7:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.\nWorkshop on “Language and Discrimination” at the Gronau Family Education Center with Christina Möllers-Sadlowski (DRK Integration Agency) Reflecting on Language and Discrimination. Understanding. Speaking more mindfully. Evening workshop as part of Intercultural Week. Language has an impact—often more than we realize. In this interactive workshop\, we’ll explore together how language can influence discrimination and how we can be more sensitive in our use of it.      \nSeptember 30th at 7:00 PM\n Film screening of EXTRAwurst (rated 12+)\, cost €7.50 per person\, with a Fairtrade stand at the Cinetech cinema in Gronau.
