SUMMARY:Radio course UBI/SRC for recreational boaters
DESCRIPTION:Many pleasure craft and almost all yachts have a radio on board. Every skipper must have a radiotelephone certificate. The radio equipment is for your own safety and cannot be replaced by cell phones. This is because radio channels are constantly monitored by control centers and other ships. Anyone who has a VHF radiotelephone system on board is obliged to use it. A valid radiotelephone certificate is required even if the radio is switched off.      \nThe VHF radiotelephone certificate for inland navigation (abbreviation: UBI) is an official certificate and authorizes the operation of VHF radio equipment in inland navigation.\nThe Short Range Certificate (SRC) is an internationally valid radio operating certificate. It entitles the holder to participate in the mobile marine radio service on VHF on pleasure craft and on ships that are not subject to the radio equipment requirement.  \nThe water sports department of Vorwärts Gronau offers combined radio training for SRC and UBI in Gronau. \nThe course fees are €120 for members of the Gronau Water Sports Association and €150 for non-members\nPrerequisites: Minimum age 15 years. Max . Number of participants: 14\nA pleasure craft license is not required. The course is therefore also suitable for crew members.    \nDates: Four evenings Thursday 27.11.\, Wednesday 03.12.\, 10.12. and 17.12.  2025. Always from 19:00 to 21:30.
