DESCRIPTION:The popular spring fair takes place as usual on the fairground in front of the Bürgerhalle. \nAn extensive offer awaits you. Well-known rides such as bumper cars\, chain carousels and the music express can of course be found on the square again.  \nIn addition to the numerous rides\, there is a culinary selection at the food stalls with bratwurst\, almonds\, popcorn\, sweets and much more. Broken items\ndon’t always have to end up in the trash right away—in some cases\, with a little expertise and some skill\, they can be quickly repaired.  \nSince October 2018\, volunteers at the Gronau Repair Café have been on hand every first Saturday of the month to perform minor repairs in exchange for a donation. You can watch them work up close\nand learn how to fix the problem yourself next time.  \nReparaturTreff sees its services as a stand against the “throwaway society” and aims to provide a social gathering place.

DESCRIPTION:On June 11 at 6:30 p.m.\, Kaufhaus der Chance will host a unique living room reading at its furniture store located at Amelandsbrückenweg 93 in Epe: Gronau-based author Christiane Nitsche-Costa will present published and unpublished stories\, reports\, and other texts. In addition to her short crime story “Endlich vegan” (Finally Vegan)—nominated for the Glauser Prize in 2025—and other crime stories\, she will also read excerpts from her novel “Die Geheimniskrämerin” (The Secret-Keeper)\, which is currently represented by the Meller literary agency.  \nOver a glass of wine in a cozy atmosphere\, guests gain fascinating insights into life in the fictional village of Frauenend\, where there is also a department store like this one. Naturally\, this is a place that holds a special appeal for the secretive Katherin Grimme.  \n“So many stories\, so much lived life” can be found there\, she thinks. And because every story holds a secret—and every secret holds a story—there’s plenty to discover in Frauenend.  \nAnyone who wants to see for themselves whether this also applies to the “Kaufhaus der Chance” can get a sense of it during this unique literary evening\, since the furniture and all the decorations in the store come from household clear-outs and donations from residents of Gronau\, Epe\, and the surrounding area. Start: 7:30 p.m.   \nHere are the dates: \nMay 7\, 2026 Warm-up Tour\n– A beginner-friendly course with a short first lap and a second\, longer lap –  \nJune 11\, 2026: ’80s Tour\n– Music from the ’80s accompanies the tour\, and participants are encouraged to wear are encouraged –\nJuly 2\, 2026 Asphalt Tour\n– Your favorite music sets the pace as you roll along the asphalt around Gronau –\nAugust 6\, 2026 Beach Tour\n– During the summer vacation\, this tour offers plenty of that vacation feeling –\nSeptember 3\, 2026 Moonlight Tour\n– We drive into the darkness by moonlight\, and the many lights create a special atmosphere. \nHalfway through the tour\, there will be a short break during which refreshments will be served. After each tour\, there will be a social gathering in the start and finish area at the TVG clubhouse.  \nThe Volksbank Skate Nights aren’t a race\, but pure fun and enjoyment: skating through the streets in a “rolling procession” accompanied by the police\, the German Red Cross\, and the stewards. \nThe stewards set a pace that everyone can keep up with. Anyone can participate—and thanks to the support of Volksbank Gronau-Ahaus\, it’s even free. \n \nYou can find the latest updates on Facebook and Instagram. Participation is free!  \n\nParticipation is at your own risk.\nIn case of bad weather and wet roads\, a tour may have to be canceled for safety reasons.\nFor your own safety\, everyone should wear protective gear\, including gloves\, elbow pads\, knee pads\, and a helmet.\nPlease bring flashing and steady lights so you’ll be more visible at dusk.\nEvery participant should know how to brake and skate safely on inline skates.\nAll skaters should be able to skate for about 1.5 to 2 hours.\nThe traffic regulations apply.\nParticipants must follow the instructions of the police and the stewards.\nAll skaters must always skate to the right of the stewards.\nChildren and adolescents under the age of 16 may participate only if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.\nAlcoholic beverages are prohibited for participating skaters during the tour.

A distinguished organist\, harpsichordist\, and conductor\, she studied in Berlin\, Stuttgart\, Hamburg\, and Basel\, and most recently held a professorship in organ at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. As an internationally sought-after specialist in historical keyboard instruments\, she leads the CAFÉ INTERNATIONAL Baroque Orchestra and the Collegium Musicum 1750. In Halle\, she is now responsible for the time-honored tradition of church music at the sites where Handel and Bach once worked.

Under the title “Prayer of Remembrance\,” violist Semjon Kalinowsky and pianist Nikolai Abramov will present an extraordinary program for viola and piano.  \nThe concert is conceived as an interfaith musical dialogue and combines spiritual depth with musical diversity. Inspired by Jewish liturgy\, it bridges tradition and modernity in a striking way. In addition to well-known works such as Max Bruch’s “Kol Nidrei” and Ernest Bloch’s “Prayer\,” the program also features rarely performed compositions that the musicians have rediscovered through intensive research—including works by Joseph Sulzer and Joachim Stutschewsky.   \nThis rare combination of viola and piano promises a particularly multifaceted musical experience—at times intimate and meditative\, at other times expressive and powerful. \nSemjon Kalinowsky is one of the most distinguished ambassadors of his instrument and performs internationally as a soloist and chamber musician. He is particularly interested in rediscovering forgotten works and expanding the viola repertoire. DESCRIPTION:The BellaDonna Women’s Choir has always had a wide-ranging repertoire—in 2019\, for example\, it presented concerts featuring texts by Anne Frank\, followed by sacred music such as Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem\, and—in a completely different vein—satirical texts by Georg Kreisler. Choir director Marion Röber knows exactly how to put together the right repertoire for the choir.  \nThis time\, the women are treating us to some coffeehouse music—and of course\, coffee and cake are a must! \nViolinist Dora Raykova\, accompanied by Marion Röber on piano\, will present the classic coffeehouse sound\, and the BellaDonna women’s choir will entertain with familiar and lesser-known melodies centered around coffee (and tea)—come and be surprised when the perfect coffeehouse music fills the air on June 21 at 3 p.m. at Cafe’Grenzenlos\, naturally accompanied by coffee and cake. Admission is free; donations to cover costs are appreciated.
