DESCRIPTION:We’ve all been there: A cherished item—like your favorite sweater\, an old music box\, or a toaster—just breaks from one day to the next. Broken items\ndon’t always have to end up in the trash right away—in some cases\, with a little expertise and some skill\, they can be quickly repaired.  \nSince October 2018\, volunteers at the Gronau Repair Café have been on hand every first Saturday of the month to perform minor repairs in exchange for a donation. You can watch them work up close\nand learn how to fix the problem yourself next time.  \nReparaturTreff sees its services as a stand against the “throwaway society” and aims to provide a social gathering place.

For over 35 years\, he has been delighting his audiences as a cabaret artist\, musician\, author\, and television host—with an unmistakable blend of humor\, music\, and subtle\, thoughtful undertones.\nHis artistic roots lie in the Rhineland Carnival\, where his career began in the late 1980s. He later gained nationwide recognition through radio and television programs\, including as a long-time cast member of the cult show “7 Tage\, 7 Köpfe.” BERND STELTER has also enjoyed great success as an author: In addition to humorous nonfiction books\, he has published several novels—including his popular camping mysteries—which have made it onto the SPIEGEL bestseller list.\nFor many years\, the stage has been at the center of his artistic work. He successfully tours throughout Germany with his solo shows—always striving not only to make his audience laugh but also to make them think.
