SUMMARY:Sonja Eismann - Candy Girls
DESCRIPTION:“Feminism isn’t fun\, it’s complex and it pisses people off – and it’s work! And Sonja Eismann has done it for herself by proving with verve and anger and countless examples how patriarchal things still are in the music industry.” – Christiane Rösinger \nYoung women and their bodies – naturally beautiful\, youthful\, sexy – are the raw material from which the music industry and the logic of pop are made. They are pined over and fetishized in song lyrics\, insulted and degraded\, they serve as a projection surface on stage and backstage.\nFemale fans are regarded as a screaming mass or will-less groupies\, incapable of any serious interest in the music or serious taste. And when a woman performs as an artist\, she is first a woman and only then a musician\, then her body is either too fat\, too thin\, too perfect or otherwise wrong\, then she is either a whore or a saint\, and then – suddenly – she is too old anyway. \nIn a mixture of analysis and reckoning that is as angry as it is instructive\, Sonja Eismann shows how deeply sexism and ageism are inscribed in the music industry\, how we as consumers have learned and internalized the male gaze\, how abuse and paedosexuality are accepted in almost all scenes and genres. She writes about old men who let underage singers perform sexualized songs\, about the seeming impossibility of proper ageing\, sexist music journalism\, superstars like Taylor Swift\, Beyoncé or Peaches\, about feminicides in song lyrics – and of course about examples of self-confident appropriation\, resistance\, angry middle fingers against the music patriarchy. \nMusikclub Turbine\nDate: 16.04.2026\nAdmission: 18:30\nStart: 19:00\nAdmission: Pay what you want\nSeating – free choice of seats

SUMMARY:Thomas Steinberg & Janina Ribeiro in conversation
DESCRIPTION:Radio between mixtape and streaming – Thomas Steinberg & Janina Ribeiro in conversation. \nTwo radio worlds meet in a special 90-minute talk format: Janina Ribeiro\, presenter at 1 Live and representative of a new radio generation\, meets Thomas Steinberg\, a real radio voice from the very beginning. \nUnder the title “The Story Behind…”\, Thomas Steinberg opens up his personal archive full of musical moments\, encounters and radio history. As one of 1Live’s first presenters\, he was there when a new chapter of radio was opened in 1995 – fresh\, loud\, close to the attitude to life of an entire generation. \nToday\, he shapes the program of WDR 4 – and thus shares a biography that many listeners associate with him: the path from wild youth radio to the musical home of the 1980s and early 1990s. Along the way\, Steinberg has met countless artists – from A-ha to The Zombies – and helped shape the radio landscape over three decades. \nJanina Ribeiro represents the perspective of a generation that has grown up with completely different listening habits and experiences music and radio in a new way. Through her own experiences as a singer\, she brings a fresh\, personal approach to music – curious\, open and with a keen sense for the emotions behind the songs and stories of earlier years. \nMusikclub Turbine\nDate: 24.04.2026\nAdmission: 18:30\nStart: 19:00\nAdmission: Pay what you want\nSeating – free choice of seats
