As part of the Week of Remembrance, the Euregio Adult Education Center invites you to the German-Dutch Encounter Caf\u00e9 on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. in the Gronau City Library (Parkstra\u00dfe 1).<\/p>\n
Our guest is Bert Woudstra, Holocaust survivor and one of the last living witnesses. The 93-year-old only survived the war thanks to the courage and humanity of many families who hid him and his mother. His father was deported and murdered in 1941. <\/p>\n
On this evening, Bert Woudstra will share part of his family history and read from the book
\n\ud83d\udcd6 “Een familiekroniek over verzet tegen het fascisme 1942 – 1945”
\n(“A family chronicle about the resistance against fascism”),
\nto which he contributed as a co-author.<\/p>\n
After the lecture there will be space for questions, exchange and discussion.
