{"id":104154,"date":"2026-08-13T10:58:24","date_gmt":"2026-08-13T08:58:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gronau-inside.de\/veranstaltung\/6th-festival-music-culture-of-the-synagogue"},"modified":"2026-08-13T10:58:24","modified_gmt":"2026-08-13T08:58:24","slug":"6th-festival-music-culture-of-the-synagogue","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/gronau-inside.de\/en\/veranstaltung\/6th-festival-music-culture-of-the-synagogue","title":{"rendered":"6th Festival &#8211; Music &#038; Culture of the Synagogue"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <strong>6th \u201cMusic &#038; Culture of the Synagogue\u201d Festival<\/strong>, which will take place from May 24 to September 6, 2026, at several synagogues and memorial sites in Westphalia, will focus on Jewish choral music and combine readings, historical insights, encounters, and concerts.<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 2008 by the Evangelical City Academy of Bochum, the festival is organized and directed by <strong>Dr. Manfred Keller<\/strong>, who aims to share the joy of Jewish culture while also promoting remembrance, dialogue, and understanding between Jewish and non-Jewish people.<\/p>\n<p>On <strong>Sunday, September 6, 2026<\/strong>, the festival day in Gronau-Epe will feature, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., a reading by Dmitrij Kapitelman from his novel <em>*Russian Specialties*<\/em>, a guided tour of Haus Lebenstein, and the concert \u201cSongs of the Synagogue\u201d featuring the ensemble \u201cmendels t\u00f6chter\u201d and the BellaDonna women\u2019s choir.
