Summer at the Waldbühne

Free cultural treats surrounded by nature—that’s the concept behind the “Summer at the Waldbühne” event series.

Thanks to the support of Ambupflege Lanvermann and AmbuVital Sanitätshaus, the cultural office will be presenting small cultural events on a total of four dates between July and August 2026 at the Waldbühne in the Inselpark. It starts every Wednesday from 4 pm. Admission is free, a toilet and seating are available. Feel free to bring picnic blankets, snacks and drinks.

July 1: Magic Boogie Show
Boogie-woogie, swing, rock ’n’ roll—the 1940s and 1950s were a true musical highlight. The Magic Boogie Show brings the spirit of that era back to the stage. Boogieman Vito (piano, blues harp, and percussion), together with Tino Roberts (guitar, vocals), puts on a breathtaking show. The two of them know better than almost anyone else how to get the audience out of their seats. They’ve already proven this time and again in Gronau and during numerous television and radio appearances.

July 15: Just Dance for 60+
May we have this dance? Together with TV Gronau, we invite you to come dance at the Waldbühne. To the beat of rousing music and under the guidance of Gika Buss-Engemann, we’ll discover the joy of movement together. The program features easy, participatory dances where everyone can join in as they please or simply watch. The focus is on having fun. As a special highlight, the children from St. Josef Kindergarten will present a World Cup dance and show that dancing brings happiness across generations.

July 29: The Singing Kiepenkerle
In their comedy-entertainment show, the Singing Kiepenkerle perform original songs based on everyday stories from the Münsterland region. The lyrics are often characterized by the proverbial “Westphalian” earthy humor. Their songs are about the village barber and his sound advice, or describe one of the most important holidays in the Münsterland region—the Schützenfest. And they poke fun at modern times, for example in the song “Fröher was dat anners.”

August 12, Flori’s Lemon Bar
From sunny Latin rhythms to soulful soul and timeless Italian classics: The “Flori’s Lemon Bar” project transcends musical boundaries. Floriana Di Luca, a native of Rome, invites the audience on an exclusive musical journey around the globe. Accompanied by percussion and guitar, the charismatic singer presents fresh, summery interpretations of well-known international hits. Her performance flows seamlessly between English, French, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, and her native Italian. “Flori’s Lemon Bar” promises an afternoon full of lightheartedness and that pure vacation feeling.
