Blue-Bot: Robotics with the iPad for Young Scientists

For elementary school children ages 8 and up, strategic (forward) thinking with the Blue-Bots is intuitive, easy to implement, and leads to success with just a few programming steps. The Blue-Bots foster an initial understanding of problem-solving and promote logical thinking based on the simple functions of programmable hardware. The goal is to use simple software on a tablet to guide the small robots along a predetermined course—such as a maze—or across one of the colorful and varied Blue-Bot mats. Young programmers can try out how children and bots work together at the library’s RoboLab.
