SAGA “The Generations Tour 2027”

When it comes to progressive rock and bands that are guaranteed to deliver great live performances, the name “Saga” quickly comes to mind. For five decades, the group has been delivering a distinctive blend of melodic progressive rock, complex synthesizer arrangements, and catchy guitar riffs. The Canadian rock legends will bring their “Generations Tour” to Gronau’s Bürgerhalle on September 12, 2027.

Saga’s story begins with their self-titled debut album, which was released in April 1978—followed by *Images at Twilight* (1979) and *Silent Knight* (1980). The band achieved widespread success with *Worlds Apart* (1981), a gold-certified album in the U.S., which produced the radio and MTV hits “On the Loose” (No. 26 on the Billboard Hot 100; strong chart positions in Canada and Europe) and “Wind Him Up.” This wave of success earned the band the 1982 Juno Award in the “Most Promising Group of the Year” category. Subsequent albums such as *Heads or Tales* (1983) delivered further hits with tracks like “The Flyer,” while the band maintained a steady release schedule—with a total of 22 studio albums as well as various live recordings and compilations. Over time, they created “The Chapters”—a large-scale, conceptual sci-fi song cycle that spanned several albums.

Saga has sold more than ten million albums worldwide, received numerous gold and platinum certifications, and toured extensively—particularly in Europe and Germany, where their music remains a fixture in the charts and on stage to this day.
