Organ Concert, Anna Scholl

Anna Scholl, cantor at the Marktkirche in Halle an der Saale, performs works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, and Johannes Brahms, among others.

Since July 2024, Anna Scholl has been the first cantor at the historic Marktkirche Unser Lieben Frauen in Halle (Saale). A distinguished organist, harpsichordist, and conductor, she studied in Berlin, Stuttgart, Hamburg, and Basel, and most recently held a professorship in organ at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. As an internationally sought-after specialist in historical keyboard instruments, she leads the CAFÉ INTERNATIONAL Baroque Orchestra and the Collegium Musicum 1750. In Halle, she is now responsible for the time-honored tradition of church music at the sites where Handel and Bach once worked.
