A New Chapter in Epe’s Local History 🏛️
A detailed bronze model has recently been added to the church square at St. Agatha Church. Created by artist Michael Franke, this “town model” depicts the center of Epe in the early 1960s and invites visitors to trace the development of our town in a unique way. 😊
The tactile model not only offers locals and visitors a fascinating glimpse into the past, but also gives people with visual impairments access to the history of Epe. The model was created following extensive research in archives and historical aerial photographs, and thanks to the memories of long-time residents of Epe.
The ceremonial unveiling has created yet another place where history comes to life and can be experienced. The model symbolizes a sense of belonging, community, and the preservation of our local history.👏
A heartfelt thank you goes to the Epe Heritage Association, everyone involved, the sponsors, and all supporters who made this special project possible through their dedication.
