“It’s all getting worse …”
We often hear this sentence. But is it really true?
Robert Stadlober embarks on a haunting journey through Kurt Tucholsky’s world of thought – texts that are over 100 years old and sound frighteningly topical. It is about love and hate, political hopelessness, violence, longing and the never-ending struggle for a small piece of the whole.
With music, language and attitude, Stadlober lays new melodies over Tucholsky’s timeless observations and shows that our times may not be worse than before – but they are not better either.
A literary-musical reflection on the cycle of history and the question of whether we can ever break it.
