Once again this year, the city of Gronau is awarding the Heimatpreis, which comes with a prize of 5,000 €! 😊
The Heimatpreis is intended to honor outstanding volunteer work by people who help shape their local community—on both a large and small scale—or who preserve local traditions. “Heimat” here stands for community and cohesion. In addition to recognizing the work that has been done, the Heimat Prize also aims to strengthen local identity and spark interest.
The funding comes from the “Heimat. Zukunft, North Rhine-Westphalia. We support what brings people together.” grant program administered by land.nrw.
