The city of Gronau is once again awarding the prize, worth 5,000 euros…

The city of Gronau is once again awarding the “Heimatpreis,” which comes with a prize of 5,000 euros, this year. 😊

The Homeland Award is intended to show appreciation for the commitment of the people who shape their homeland every day, on both a large and small scale. “Home” here stands for community and cohesion. In addition to the appreciation for the work done, this is also an opportunity to strengthen the topic of homeland and to inspire and encourage new interested parties.

The funding comes from the state of North Rhine-Westphalia’s “Heimat. Zukunft. North Rhine-Westphalia. We support what brings people together” grant program. Last year’s winner was “Ralf Kötter and 5 Authors” with their project “Eper Erzählbank.”

Application materials can be downloaded now at https://www.mhkbd.nrw/foerderprogramme/heimat-preis, filled out, and sent to the City of Gronau. Applications will be accepted until May 31, 2025.

Once the application period has ended, the Main and Finance Committee, in consultation with the Committee on Schools, Education, and Culture GmbH, will decide on the award of the prize.
