The Evang. Posaunenchor von 1886 will be giving a church concert on September 24 at 5 p.m. in the Evang. Stadtkirche Gronau under the motto: Double choir music by old and less old masters for trombone choir and organ.
The program includes works by Heinrich Schütz, Henry Purcell, Melchior Franck, Johann Sebastian Bach, Joseph Haydn, Magdalene Schauß-Flake and others. The trombone choir of 1886 will perform in four voices under choirmaster Thomas Steffan, while Dr. Tamás Szöcs will play the other choir on the Wilhelm Sauer organ. Music from four centuries will be heard in a variety of registrations and with percussion and kettledrums in the trombone choir. No one should miss this rare sound experience.
Admission is free. At the exit, the trombone choir asks for a donation for the “Lichtblicke” campaign. The event is organized by the Förderverein des Evangelischen Posaunenchors von 1886 Gronau e. V.
