Tourism as an economic factor: Münsterland impresses – and Gronau benefits too! 🙌
The Münsterland region has published the new figures on tourism as an economic factor – and they are impressive: 2.08 billion euros in gross tourism revenue in 2024. That is 7% more than in 2019 and clearly shows how important tourism is for our region.
For us in Gronau, too, this means that tourism success not only strengthens the hospitality industry, but also the retail trade, leisure facilities, public transport, regional producers, crafts and many other sectors. Tourism experiences create quality of life – for guests and for us Gronau residents.
The study also shows that
👉 955 million euros in added value from tourism
👉 An employment effect of 29,866 full-time jobs in the Münsterland region
👉 Over 55 million visitor days – from overnight stays to day trips
These figures make it clear that tourism is a key driver of our regional development. It provides jobs, investment and increases the attractiveness of our cities.
