Chamber concert with the duo Darius Preuß and James Maddox

They are already internationally renowned musicians. Darius Preuß trained at the Hochschule in Cologne and the Hanns Eisler-Hochschule in Berlin. His playing has also been influenced by well-known musicians such as Frank Peter Zimmermann and Zakhar Bron. He currently has regular lessons with Leonidas Kavakos. Australian-born pianist James Maddox studied at the Conservatorium of Music in Sydney, Australia with Nikolai Evrov and in Verona with Alexander Lonquich and Edoardo Strabbioli. He has been a lecturer at the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf since 1995 and is artistic director of the Brahms Days in Bonn-Endenich. The program includes the Sonata in A major “Grand Duo” D574 by Franz Schubert, the Sonata No. 1 by Gabriel Fauré and, after the interval, the Sonata No. 2 in A major “Thun Sonata” by Johannes Brahms.
