Irish Folk Session
Irish folk is the name for popular Irish music that has been around since the 17th century. The instruments that characterize the sound of Irish folk music today were added in the 18th century. Musicians from Gronau, Epe, Hengelo, Enschede, Dülmen, Burgsteinfurt and Borghorst are represented with instruments such as fiddle, flute, guitar, banjo, box and, of course, vocals. The sonic possibilities are manifold. The musicians’ program includes jigs, polkas and reels for every mood.
Admission is free of charge. A donation is requested.
