Library Day

Celebrate Library Day with us on October 24, 2026! Library Day has been celebrated since 1995, when it was established under the patronage of then-Federal President Richard von Weizsäcker.
Every year on October 24, this special day is dedicated to recognizing libraries as indispensable cultural and educational institutions. The Gronau City Library and the Epe Library also cordially invite you to celebrate this day with us.

Our diverse program, which appeals to all generations—from children to teens, parents, and grandparents—kicks off during our opening hours.
Under an exciting theme, we’ve prepared numerous activities designed to inspire a love of reading, discovery, and shared experiences.

Library Day is a great opportunity to explore the wide range of offerings at the city library, discover new favorite books, and immerse yourself in the colorful world of literature and media.
Stop by, bring your family and friends, and experience just how lively and inspiring a library can be!
We look forward to your visit and a wonderful day full of stories, knowledge, and surprises.
