Week of Remembrance – Yesterday, the victims of the November pogroms of 1938 were remembered.
The first commemoration took place in the morning at the old synagogue in Epe, Haus Lebenstein.
In the evening, the joint route led from Theodor-Heuss-Platz through the city center to the wreath-laying ceremony at Kurt-Schumacher-Platz.
The diverse contributions at both commemorations were an impressive reminder of the terrible events of the past and at the same time a reminder to take responsibility for the future.
Numerous visitors laid flowers at the memorials – a strong sign of remembrance, respect and humanity. 🕯️🌹
