Hum, hum, hum – visiting bees, creepy-crawlies and co. in a green oasis

Children of primary school age with their grandparents visit a huge green oasis in the middle of an industrial area with lots of insects, creepy-crawlies etc. At a beekeeper’s you will learn how the bee colony produces honey in a perfect division of labor. We investigate how they pollinate flowers and sow bee-friendly flowers for the home. There will be a honey tasting during a short picnic break. In the garden there is a pond with dragonflies and water fleas, as well as insect hotels and compost beds with lots of small creepy-crawlies, which we examine with a magnifying glass and microscope and build an insect nest for them.
