Third Places Day
You are cordially invited to Third Places Day!
On Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the theme is: “Finally at Haus Lebenstein!” —and we cordially invite everyone to discover our new cultural, commemorative, and community space at Wilhelmstraße 5 in Gronau-Epe. On the state-wide “Day of Third Places,” the former synagogue will open its doors to the public for the first time, offering an opportunity to get to know the building and its unique history.
Look forward to live music, entertainment, and hands-on activities; the exhibition “Lost Place—The Former Synagogue in Epe Before Its Renovation”—photographs by Dirk Schröder; and a special look at the uncovered historic mikveh.
Gronau’s mascot, “Türmchen,” will also be stopping by—but above all, there’s plenty of space to explore, meet people, chat, and celebrate together.
