Chamber concert – Nereus Quartet
Chamber concert at Georgs Galerie – Merschstraße 21 in Epe with Christina Tsakalidou, violin, Joana Revez Mendonca, viola, Sebastian Rodriguez Tapia, violoncello, José Miguel Borges, piano.
The musicians know each other from the Brussels Conservatory. They are currently studying chamber music in the Master’s program at the University of Dance and Music in Cologne. They perform in Georg’s Gallery as part of the Dörken Foundation’s “Best of NRW” scholarship program.
The program includes two well-known works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Piano Quartet No. 2 in E flat major KV 493 and the Piano Quartet in G minor op. 25 by Johannes Brahms. Between these two works, the musicians will present a piano quartet by the Spanish composer Joaquin Turina (1882-1949), who is not often performed here.
