Information event “Rewetting of the Hündfeld moor”
The Hündfelder Moor and the adjacent Dutch Aamsveen are part of a cross-border nature conservation project that aims to permanently rewet the moor landscape. These measures are intended to strengthen biodiversity, reduce CO₂ emissions and make the landscape more resilient to the consequences of climate change.
Christoph Rückriem, from the Zwillbrock Biological Station, will present the planned measures, challenges and progress of the project to date in his lecture on 25.09.2025. He will also explain the importance of this work for Gronau. The event is aimed at all interested parties and offers the opportunity to get to know a special natural area right on your doorstep.
