08.09.2025 is World Literacy Day.
On this occasion, the Euregio-VHS Gronau, as a member of the alliance “Runder Tisch Alphabetisierung und Grundbildung im Kreis Borken”, organized a reading series in simple language with the current forum – VHS Ahaus and the VHS Bocholt:
“Meet – Read & Eat”
To mark World Literacy Day, author Karin Ahmad Moering will be reading from her books
“Im Labyrinth der Buchstaben” and “Entkommen aus dem Teufelskreis der Buchstaben” as part of this special series at the Gronau public library and telling her special life story.
In her books, Karin Ahmad Moering describes her experiences from the perspective of the person affected: labeled as learning disabled in her school days and placed in a special school, she leaves school almost without being able to read and write. Only later does a “self-help book” turn things around.
During the reading, there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and talk to the author.
And of course, there will also be a snack!
The reading is free of charge.
Registration at the VHS is requested for better planning.
