Oktoberfest Gronau on 25.10.
Additional family day with morning pint on Sunday
“O’zapft is”. This slogan has been around for over two hundred years in Munich and since 2013 also in Gronau, when the first genuine Oktoberfest celebrated its debut there. Especially after last year’s successful “re-launch” in a new guise, the feedback was absolutely positive, with the conclusion that the atmosphere in Gronau more than holds its own against the Oktoberfest in Munich.
In keeping with the motto “Where there’s a party, there’s a party!”, this year’s event will once again be celebrated, swayed and rocked in the specially constructed and quaintly decorated Stadl Oktoberfest tent in front of the Bürgerhalle in Gronau. On Saturday, October 25, party-goers can once again expect a real “Oktoberfest feeling”, with many of the tried and tested features from last year, as well as some necessary improvements such as a multi-lane entrance system and climate management in the marquee. A traditional Haxen-Alm with Bavarian culinary delicacies is located on the newly added open-air area. The organizers from Westfalen Events have once again put together an exciting program to ensure that there is also plenty of music.
As is usual in all festival tents in Munich, you need a really groovy party band to bring the “Gronauer Stadl” to the boil. The musical highlight will be “Alexa und die wilden Herzbuben” will create the perfect atmosphere with the best-known party songs, party and Oktoberfest hits. Behind the five-piece “Gaudi-Band” are the thoroughbred musicians of the party band “Sound-Traffic”. which is regarded as one of the best Top 40 live bands in the country. With hits and evergreens from the charts, Schlager, rock and pop genres and their special “fun interludes”, they know how to more than inspire.
And to make sure that no one stays in their seat, the organizers have added an absolute ‘top treat’ on top. Because the “Oberkrainer Grenzgebläse” plays exactly the right kind of town music that should not be missing at a proper Oktoberfest. “Trompetenecho”, “Kufsteinlied”, “Sierra Madre” and “Hofbräuhaus” will more than just heat up the marquee. So for all party-goers, it’s time to get your Dirndl and Krachlederne out of the wardrobe and secure your tickets for an unforgettable Oktoberfest party.
On Sunday, 26 October, the organizers are planning the Signal Iduna Family Day with a hearty Oktoberfest morning pint and a stylish musical program. Among others, the “Original Oberkrainer Grenzgebläse”, the well-known “Dinkelmusikanten” and the “Wald- und Wiesenkapelle” from Epe will provide entertainment. For the little ones, there will be a play paradise with a bouncy castle, lots of different “Bavarian” activity areas and the magician “WoBo”, who will not only amaze the young guests.
In addition to a drinks stall, there are several snack and specialty stations with all kinds of culinary delicacies in the outdoor area. Admission for the Oktoberfest on Saturday, October 25th is from 5:00 pm, the symbolic barrel tapping will then take place at 6:00 pm.
Ticket sales start on Thursday, May 01 at 10:00 am. Ticket prices start from €26.50 plus booking fee and include a welcome drink and a food voucher worth €3.00. Tickets are available at www.westfalen-events.de or www.gronauer-oktoberfest.de.
