This operatic jewel of Belcanto is a romantic masterpiece by Vincenzo Bellini that requires exceptional vocal artistry. The wonderful Nadine Sierra takes on the role of the sleepwalking Amina, who is mistaken for being unfaithful before being proven innocent after some confusion. This opera full of breathtaking coloratura and poignant melodies is directed by Rolando Villazón.

With its enchanting setting and captivating music, Puccini’s La bohème is one of the world’s most popular operas, as timeless as it is heartbreaking. Franco Zeffirelli’s beautiful production brings 19th century Paris to the stage of the Met, depicting the lives, loves and suffering of young artists. And although it does not end without tears, this emotional work continues to enchant audiences to this day.

Set in turn-of-the-century Vienna, it tells the story of the young noblewoman Arabella, who must find a wealthy bridegroom to save the family estate. The glamorous production by legendary director Otto Schenk transports the audience to a bygone world full of romance and poetry.

Audience favorite Piotr Beczała takes on the title role, one of the most demanding tenor roles in the repertoire.

When it comes to beautiful melodies, captivating coloratura and virtuoso vocal fireworks, there are few operas that can match Bellini’s I puritani. The plot is set in England at the time of the civil war between Royalists and Puritans. At the center is the tragic love story between Elvira and Arturo, whose happiness is destroyed by the conflict between love and political obligation.

Yuval Sharon, hailed by the New York Times as “the most visionary opera director of his generation”, will direct the long-awaited new production of Wagner’s Tristan und Isolde. Lise Davidsen and Michael Spyres are two electrifying stars on the Met stage and we can already look forward to the opera’s climax, Isolde’s famous final aria Mild und leise (“Liebestod”).

The magnificent Asmik Grigorian takes on the role of the young heroine in love, Tatyana, in this passionate opera adaptation by Alexander Pushkin.
