80 years of peace!? German-Dutch exhibition at the border

“80 Years of Peace!?” is an event with an exhibition, cycle route and educational program. 4 Dutch and 4 German artists shed light on German-Dutch and European relations. The exhibition on the border at Gronau-Glanerbrug begins on the Dutch National Holiday (Liberation Day), May 5, and runs until June 15.

Eight artists shed light on 80 years of peace and the future. Installations by Leon Marie Dekker, Stefan Demming, Hettie Eleonora Koning, Carel Lanters/Julius Reinders, Josef Lenz, Ole Nieling and Dorothea Nold will be set up on the central exhibition grounds in Gronau. These artists have also created a marker object. These works of art are located along a cycle route between Enschede/Alstätte and Manderveen/Uehlsen at places where main roads cross the border line. A bilingual passport forms the catalog for the exhibition. The route can also be traveled by (electric) car.

Central location: Enscheder Straße – Gronau. Open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11 am – 4 pm.

The opening will take place on Thursday, May 8 (exactly 80 years after the official end of the Second World War) at 17:00 in the Euregio building, Gronausestraat 1260 in Glanerbrug,
