Of threads and visions: Gronau textile buildings then and now
City tour incl. guided tour of the White Lady

Together with the Euregio-Volkshochschule Gronau, the city marketing department is offering a city tour with a focus on textile history. Under the title “Of threads and visions: Gronau textile buildings then and now”, Gronau insider Klaus Wiedau will be taking anyone interested on a very special tour of the town on May 16, 2025 at 4:00 pm. The city tour will take you past the cinema, the rock’n’pop museum, the WZG (Gronau Business Center) and the White Lady. These buildings, along with many others, were important parts of Gronau’s flourishing textile industry.

After the city tour, participants can look forward to an exciting guided tour of the restored White Lady. There, participants will learn more about the innovative concept of “Lively” and its new function as a co-living space, as well as the exciting transformation of this historic building. “We are delighted to be able to offer this special event in collaboration with VHS Gronau,” emphasizes Anne Holter from the Gronau City Marketing team. Anne Terglane-Fuhrer from the Euregio VHS Gronau adds: “The textile tour with a guided tour of the Weiße Damen highlights the importance of the textile industry in the past and the role it plays in Gronau today.”
