Guided hike through the Gildehauser Venn
The 650-hectare nature reserve “Gildehauser Venn” is one of the most beautiful and impressive heath and moorland landscapes in the area. It is ideal for long walks in the countryside. The area is criss-crossed by flat, elongated dune ridges. The damp moor heaths are dominated by bell heather and are partly interspersed with reeds and bog lilies. The dry dune ridges are mainly sandy heaths. Species such as red-backed shrike, lapwing, curlew and snipe breed here.
Together with the certified forest guide Stefan Leiding from Bocholt, you will go on a 4-hour hike through the fens and the surrounding countryside and learn interesting facts about the area. A parking ticket for the duration of the hike is also included in the price.
Tickets for adults cost €33.00, children up to the age of 12 pay €27.00.
